Why do they ignore all his bold faced crap? such as.... I think you have to define what "failed policies" are w/ the Iraq war. Have their been a lot of failled policies in Iraq during the war? Absolutely, including the fact that Bush never sent in enough troops to stop a major insurgency. However, if the main reason to go into Iraq was to stop terrorists/Al Qaeda & prevent them from attacking the US again, well I'd say it's been an absolute success because the US has had a terror attack on it's soil since the Iraq war started.

To answer your question about why McCain gets a free ride, I would say that it is because of his military service. No one wants to admit that you can both serve your country with honor in a military capacity and be a shamelessly pandering politician, although that tactic did work on Jon Kerry (I think because the swift-boating undermined his service to the country in the eyes of the public, which was every bit as great as McCain's). The media created the "Straight talk express" narrative many years ago and they do not want to go back and admit that they are totally wrong about their man. They have short memories, little desire to fact check, and do not try to vet candidates. They only report the latest headline, which for the last month has been Wright. It is up to the liberals they have on their opinion shows to make that case - don't expect rank and file tv news reporters to discuss any of this.

What's a good excuse to quit my job?
After getting two jobs (one at a clothing store, and one at a fast-food restaurant) I'm quitting after 3wks. I was planning to use the money towards graduate school, but I'm not getting lots of hours, so I'm going back to my original plan of moving to South Korea to teach English. I need a good excuse to quit the jobs without making anybody angry. Any suggestions? One idea I have is that my mother's being sent to Iraq, so I have to go live with a relative in another state.

The best answer is a straight answer. Tell them the truth. And as far as your job is concerned, Find what you enjoy, and even if it doesn't pay much, stick to it. It won't be easy, but adjust your living standards according to your job. Learn to enjoy your life...through your work. After all, we spend so many of our waking hours for work, we might as well enjoy it.

I don't want to go to army in this country?
I don't want to go to army in this country?
I am living in south korea. and I don't want to go to army in here. becuz the people in the army force a person who looks weak or poor or not very social to commit suicide or they must make the person the psychopath or schizophrenic. even they burn bible in front the person who believes in jesus. the everyone who are not very social and look weak really became psychopaths or schizophrenic by the bullying and sexual harassment in the Army. even they force the people to do oral sex in the army. and if you don't pay money for sex trafficking, they make you commit suicide or become mental patient. (really many people became the mental patients after completing their military service.) but the everyone in this country just keep silent on it. I want to leave this country. I want to live in other place where has no korean.. this is too horrible.. why was I born ? to become a mental patient ? they really enjoy to harass poor people and rape poor females. did you see hot news in south korea in the past weak ? those generals and soliders and rich lawyers tried to have sex with teenage female. they cheated and used the young little girl. but it is a tip of iceberg. real life and society is more fucked.. but I am poor and I have no skills for jobs. but I want to make money. but I have fear to talk and mean people becuz I was harassed very hardly and brutally when I was student.. but if I can start new life in other place where has no korean, I will be able to do not die.. but now I am just waiting to die.. those people are same with the hitler. those people are too violent.. even I saw news they tried to burn the penis of the young solider (19 age) on this weak. what the hell is this ? this is the endless hell.. I DON'T FUCK WANT TO DIE ! YOU HELP ME ! this country's gov is more horrible and mad than the japan gov. Football Guy hey you are not korean. even did you finish your military service in south korea ? they really make a person commit suicide on purpose. and even the last president commited suicide. this country is the highest suicide rates. who the hell are you ? are you living in south korea over 20 years ? didn't you see even a person commits suicide around you ? I don't understand why the most people are very silent on it. you and the most people in here are all crazy. beyond the japanese.

What is your opinion on these options for a great international/educational experience?
What is your opinion on these options for a great international/educational experience?
I graduated college and got my BA a year ago. I got a liberal arts type education and have the desire to return to school for something a little more focused if I can (I love school as long as Im interested in what im learning). Ive been working in the service industry and took 2 months off to travel Costa Rica and do some U.S. road tripping this past May/June. Before I return to school or commit to a possible long-term employment position I feel I need to have a more meaningful/ longer experience traveling abroad. Here are my thoughts with some goals of mine. Any opinions and/or suggestions you have would be great!!! I have some savings initially but I would definitely need to be a budget/backpacking sort of traveler. Any way to make money along the way would be very goooood. 1) Teach English. I really want to do this and am torn between a spanish speaking country where I am at least a bit familiar with the language (but hard to get jobs and wouldnt get paid anything significant) and an Asian country where the money would support my living costs and even supply savings. Thoughts: Thailand, South Korea, China. Or Spain or a Latin American country. I have also recently heard good things about doing this in PRAGUE as well!!? 2) Learn Spanish. This is the most useful second language in the United States, where I live. I know this makes it seem like I should teach in a spanish speaking country, but I really want to make it to SouthEast/ East Asia too. Plus learning Spanish might be something I could more easily fit into my life when I have less of a long-term, no commitment lifestyle like I do now. (?) 3) Work on a Holiday visa in New Zealand. This would be less of a challenge but I think very enjoyable. I could work my way through the country at Hotels/ restaurants or trying to raise funds for Greenpeace or do farm work for a while. I would love to do more than one of these and travel to other locations inbetween too. Also thoughts on best times of the year to start any of these adventures is appreciated.

some thoughts: you could actually do 1 and 2 together. prague is a great place, many people there already know english - so it would be easier to communicate all the while, still having a chance to teach english. new zealand is a great place to spend some time. So - if you are looking for something that looks good on a resume, go for the english teaching first (either spanish speaking or prague or asia) If you want to get 2 birds with one stone, teach english in a spanish speaking country. Work in the new zealand experience at some point, but it might not be as impressive on a resume - but a great experience nevertheless. Good luck and have a great time whatever you choose!
