Dear Students, Congratulations on your admission to the Graduate School of International Studies at Yonsei University . This letter will try to clarify what’s left for you to do and also give you some options on various matters such as your visa and health insurance. It is extremely important that you follow these instructions to avoid any possible delays in beginning your studies. VISA Non-Korean citizens must obtain a student visa (D-2) from the Korean Embassy or Consulate if you are abroad or from the Korean Immigration Office if you are currently in . Completed visa application form (obtainable from any Korean consulate or at the immigration office) 2. Valid passport 3. Official Admissions Letter from the Yonsei GSIS (Certificate of Admission) 4. A processing fee To avoid making unnecessary trips to the Korean Embassy or Immigration Office for your visa application, you should consult the nearest Korean Embassy (or Korean Immigration Office) to confirm the list of required documents. If you are currently in Korea and under a different type of visa other than D-2 or are planning to acquire one, you must contact the Korean Immigration Office (Website: http://www.hikorea.go.kr/) directly to check whether you need to change your visa status or obtain a study permit. In any case, you must obtain the necessary visa or permission before the semester begins. Otherwise, you may be subject to heavy fines and penalties according to relevant laws. You need to pay tuition, but they don't know how much yet. 4. You will need a student ID card. 5. You need health insurance. And I guess there were other things but you reached the posting limit.
