Let me get this straight. You would rather see jobs go to Rio than the Mid-West region of our own country. Wow, this is very typical of the conservative right in this country. Now you guys want to outsource the Olympic jobs that would help recover our nations economy and get people back to work. Way to go with that patriotism (to Brazil that is). BTW, name one Obama 'cronie' in Chicago that would profit off this. Considering the fact that Utah turned a 56 million dollar profit after everything was paid for from the 2002 Winter Olympics, I think Obama's lobbying efforts in Denmark are to be applauded. That was 100 years ago. A major study done by a California university revealed that a Chicago Olympics would provide a minimum of $44 billion of investment and economic recovery to one of America's most depressed cities, badly in need of private development. In addition, the entire Great lakes region would benefit with billions of dollars worth of increased tourism and related growth. It makes no economic sense not to pursue this goal of a Chicago Olympics and opponents would be labelling the president as derelict in his duties if he ignored it. Some of your information is incorrect, and if you read the Murdoch owned Post or saw the Murdoch-owned Fox News for Malkin's reports on the subject, she only states that Jarret served on the committee to seek Chicago's Olympic bid, which is not a lobbying firm, she was employed by the city of Chicago - big difference. Alexrod's public relations firm AKPD did some preliminary work for the committee's efforts, being the largest Chicago PR firm, which makes sense. This was before Obama even announced running for the presidency. However, there is no current or future contract for AKPD or anyone else, and any future Olympics PR contract, should Chicago be named, would be awarded by the International Olympic Committee, not the city of Chicago. If you must rant, at least get your facts straight. You lose all credibility and people will just ignore your future posts, like I plan on doing if you can't be more careful with facts in the future.

I know you're trying to make a point about Obama's whole, "socializing" of things... even though it's just fucking healthcare (and we already have shit socialized here anyway)... but to say that he should act as some sort of "socialist ambassador to the world" and try to "distribute" the games to the countries who haven't gotten them yet etc. etc... in order to justify some sort of "socialism standard" you've imposed upon the guy in your own mind... is just b.s., and I have to sit here and deconstruct it (and I do have to)... I don't want to think you have an agenda Libby, but it kind of seems like you do when you post crap like this.
