Is Mitt Romney the conservative real deal because he is very religious & only run to help Americans? SO WRONG
Romney is a former CEO of Bain & Company, "....We work with top management to beat their competitors and generate substantial, lasting financial impact. We look at a business as an integrated, cohesive whole. Bain helps companies find where to make their money, make more of it faster, and sustain its growth longer. We help make the big decisions: on strategy, organization, operations, technology, and mergers & acquisitions. Where appropriate, we work with clients to make it happen - which may mean fundamentally changing the company. Our work is most successful when we work closely with clients who are dissatisfied with the status quo. ..." Offices in China, INDIA, Japan, Korea, Europe, South America... Also the Founder of Bain Capital Mitt Romney = a younger Dick Cheney!!! Americans = His Cattle farm

Yes. Romney is okay. Better by hundreds of times of any of the Commie Democrats running. Americans = Their peasants.
2 :
Romney isn't religious, he is a member of the biggest "cult" in the world and is about as fake and materialistic as they come.
3 :
Mitt Romney is bucking to become the big business candidate. More tax breaks for the wealthy, more corporations keeping their profits offshore in (illegal and unsought) shelters. Perhaps he's a "pretty face" but beneath he's a corporate satan.
4 :
Mitt Romney is a hypocrite with no convictions of his own. He adopts the values of the voters to which he is courting and tries to infiltrate their thoughts. He is a chameleon and flip-flopper with no integrity.
5 :
Fred Thompson is going to run.... Goodbye to the rest of them.
6 :
I will be voting based on a candidates stand on illegal aliens. Mitt Romney wants em shipped out, so he's alright in my book!
7 :
Mitt Romney is as phony as most of the rest. A true candidate I hope will run is Fred Thompson. He is "testing the waters"!
8 :
You're working for the Dems, aren't you? Which one? Hillary?

I may not be pro Mitt Romney, but it has nothing to do with the fact that he is a religious Mormon. To all those who have answered, the one thing I can say about this man, religion is not just a front to this man, it is a reality to him, but being from Mass will say it does not effect his governing ways. It's like JFK and his being Catholic, probably way before your time, when people thought if he won the Pope would run our country. As far as his background of being the head of a major company, look back at most of our Presidents and we wouldn't have most of our Presidents, so forget that as a reason for him being a bad president, too many of our presidents have been from big companies, and running the country needs someone with some background, look at Bloomberg in NYC, no political background and has done a better job than a lot of Mayors. I am a democrat, so I have my other reasons why I don't believe in him, but, the reasons don't follow any of the above, get over a lot of your crazy ideas and think with your head.

Heres a good look at their true nature from History. This one happened 150 years ago but I think its still relevant because Mitt Romneys church pardoned a terrorist mass murderer of Americans in 1960 and now Romney is running for President. MOUNTAIN MEADOWS MASSACRE !! It was September 11, 1857. A wagon train of 160 settlers on their way to California was massacred by a bunch of Mormons dressed in Indian clothes. 17 children under the age of 8 were spared and lived to tell their story. 1st. They dressed as Indians but after five days they changed tactics. 2nd. Then they went a bit away ,dressed back into normal clothes and acted like the Rescue Party who had negotiated a deal with the"Indians". 3rd, Then confiscated all the guns as part of the deal for "saving" the travellers and Mormon dissidents( who were the reason for the attack in the first place). 4th. Took everybody off a mile or so and shot them all. 2 men got away but were eventually tracked down and killed a day or so later. 5th. Took the 17 children they had not killed back with them to Salt Lake City. 6th. Got away with it. After a publicized trial, with the childrens own testimony admitted into the court, only 1 man was convicted and shot, John D. Lee. ( pardoned by Church 1960) It ended up being called the Mountain Meadows Massacre. The first time in U.S. history that U.S. citizens were massacred on U.S. soil by religious wackos. This event is even more significant because the total U.S. population at the time was much smaller.(I dont know the exact numbers, maybe only 30 million or so) In todays numbers it would be around 1400 dead

Mormons believe if you live a good life you become a god when you die. They have secret names so after they die they can find each other. Mormons believe in wearing special underwear with some sacred symbols this saves them from harm. You can be baptized to the Mormon faith after you die so, they have secret ceremonies over people who were not Mormons There IS no Trinity like other people believe. God is God, Jesus is the Son of God and the Holy Ghost is someone else. Apparent dinosaur fossils are the machinations of Satan. He shaped rocks as if they had been bones of past giants to deceive the very elect. At some future, secret time, select priesthood holders will be called to a special, secret meeting to prepare for the imminent return of Christ. Joseph Smith saw God the Father, Jesus Christ, and received dozens of other angelic visits (Moses, Elijah, Peter, James, John, John the Baptist, etc) But in order to "translate" the Book of Mormon, he still needed to resort to magical devices (a kind of 19th century crystal ball) and to wear a breastplate with supernatural powers. That "Men" and men only can perform miracles, and women can only receive these benefits from "Men". Joseph Smith will help Jesus and God judge us at the "Last Judgment", because he is the prophet of our dispensation. and it goes on and on I would be very worried about Romney

Are international drivers licenses a money making scam?

Are international drivers licenses a money making scam?
Rented cars in over 20 countries, never got asked for anything more upon producing my South African drivers license. My wife on the other hand was once denied renting a car, because she could only produce the international license, and not her domestic one. Any similar experiences or ideas on the issue? Maybe it helps in Korea or Russia, where language might really be an issue. But no problems with mine in Spanish, German, French and English speaking countries. Thanks Andy. I tried to qualify the Korean example above. I suppose my real question is, beyond assisting with language barriers, does it serve a purpose in proving legitimicy? I owned a car when living in the UK, produced it when stopped by traffic officers, had insurance, the whole thing...all with my domestic license. I mention that because I know rental companies could not care less if it depended on them. Ours is also issued by the AA, which is our equivalent of what you call the AAA. When I acted ignorant our AA, as did the AA in the UK, assured me it was absolutely necessary. That's why I dared to use the word "scam".

Here in the U.S., you can get an international license from AAA. If you look at the international license, it says it in black letters that it is useless without the accompanying driver's license issued by your country (or state in the U.S.). So it shouldn't be surprising your wife gets denied renting a car. As you renting in foreign country with only your home country's license? That's up to the rental company. They can demand an international license, especially if your license is issued in a foreign language. The fact that you were successful in renting cars with a South African license doesn't mean international license is not useful. You just lucked out that you weren't asked. In any case, it is better to have it than not in case you were asked for it. Also think about that when you rent a car, you are dealing with a private car company. What would happen if you were stopped in South Korea and you can't produce an international license? You would probably get into trouble and ruin your vacation.

Sixteen hour flight and a 2 year old... help!?

Sixteen hour flight and a 2 year old... help!?
I am about to make a flight from South Korea to Atlanta, and I was told that depending on the winds, it could be anywhere from 14 - 16 hours. I have a 2 1/2 year old son who is full of energy, but can sit down and be calm and entertained as long as it's something he's interested in. I was thinking about buying a portable dvd player, because he could watch movies all day if we let him, but it just seems like a waste of money for a one time event. Does anyone have any ideas they can give me to help me get through my flight without having a toddler jumping up and down in the seats, screaming his head off? Thank you so much, and God bless! Yeah, for those of you suggesting that I drug my child... that is not an option. I am willing and able to work with him so that we have a pleasant trip, I just need some ideas. Our usual day consists of going out to a playground or for bike rides, swimming, getting a smoothie, anything that allows us to go out. So sitting in the same spot for 16 hours is going to be a change.

I've been flying internationally and domestically with my children since they were 2 months (now 8&5 and baby number 3 was born 23 December). At least three trips a year are the children and I traveling internationally (14+ hours each way) alone. In addition to that, we do another 8-10 international and domestic flights a year as a family. I have never had any problems with my children on any of the flights (and like you, I don't believe in drugging them either!). Here are a few tips and suggestions: 1.) Make sure to pack plenty of things to entertain your child, such as a few books, toys, a portable DVD player (be sure to bring extra batteries) or let him use your laptop (make sure it's fully charged) with a few movies, and one or two comfort things such as a favorite blankie or stuffed animal. I always bring a small pillow and blanket from home for my children (even now) because I know 100% that they are clean, and my children are accustomed to them. My children like to bring along their own coloring books, a Doodle Pad, their Leap Pads (with a few booklets), and scrap paper that they can make their own drawings with and play games such as tic-tac-toe. My daughter used to like to bring along a doodle bear when she was younger so that she could draw on that as well, and my son likes to bring along some action figures to play with. I found that buying a Rose Art kit is great! It has crayons, markers, coloring books, coloring sheets, and stickers that they can color. It definitely keeps them entertained! You can also play games like pat-a-cake, or I-spy, and tell stories to your children as well. If you tell a story, try to make it an interactive one where your son has a part in it so he stays interested. You might also consider going to the store and letting your child (I let my children start this at the age of one) pick out his own carry on bag and a few inexpensive toys that will be used only once you are on the plane. Be sure to pick out a few toys without him seeing so that he has an extra surprise when he opens his carry on. 2.) Bring Snacks! just add water packets of food, cheerios, goldfish, animal crackers, dried fruit, etc. are great. New regulations also allow you to take beverages (including water) from home as long as they are less than 3oz (100ml), -OR- beverages (including water) of any size that you have purchased from inside the security area onto planes. You can also bring a limited amount of baby food, yogurt, cheese, puddings, etc. with you also as long as they are in containers less than 3oz (100ml) As long as your children are with you, you are able to take as much formula, breast milk, or regular milk that you will need for you child for the duration of the time you will spend in the airport and on the flight (as long as it is within reason). And no, you will NOT have to taste it - no matter what form you bring it in. All that you must do is: 1. Separate the milk from the liquids, gels, and aerosols in your quart-size (1 liter) zip-top bag. 2. Declare you have the items to one of the Security Officers at the security checkpoint. 3. Present these items for additional inspection once reaching the X-ray. These items are subject to additional screening Save your money when it comes to buying water though because the Flight Attendants will provide you with hot or cold water (or any other drink) free at any time that you request, no matter how many times you request it. 3.) Keep your diaper bag well stocked with plenty of wipes, ointments and other essential things. Just remember the new law regulating liquids, gels, and such and pack accordingly. You can usually find travel size baby products in stores and they are wonderful for plane use. One thing I always like to carry with me is hand sanitizer! I always wipe the trays down with that (followed by a baby wipe) and use it for my kids after taking them to the bathroom (even though they wash their hands). I know that airplane bathrooms are not the cleanest, so that is why I try to be vigilant. Be sure to pack 2-3 changes of clothes for your son. You will need this in case he gets sick, spills something on himself, or in case your luggage gets lost. Bring any medications that you might need for your child should he get sick or that he takes regularly. Remember that if they are not prescription medications, the 3oz (100ml) rule applies to them and they must be kept in a clear plastic bag. Try to have your son use the bathroom as close to boarding as possible. This will help to make your child feel fresh and more comfortable for take-off (which could also mean less problems). 4.) Not all children have a problem with the pressure changes in their ears. If yours does however you'll want to know how to help. For take-offs and landings (the WHOLE way up, and starting from the BEGINNING, or TOP of descent), the best ways to alleviate ear pressure are to: *Give him something to drink (milk, water, juice - it doesn't matter) *Give him a pacifier to suck on *Tell him to yawn *Pinch his nostrils shut, have him take a deep breath in through the mouth, then tell him to (gently) blow as if trying to blow his nose *Place hot damp towels (usually like the ones distributed to first and business class before take-off and landing to freshen up with - just ask a flight attendant for them) or paper towels that have been soaked in hot water and wrung out, at the bottom of two paper or styrofoam cups, then hold the cups over the ears *Gently but with some pressure, rub his neck repeatedly from the chin to the base of the neck. This will cause a swallowing motion that will relieve pressure build-up in the ears. You can also try using a decongestant. It is always best to check with your doctor before using any type of medications though, to make sure you are using the one best suited to your childs needs. I personally have found pain relief medications don't really help, and at least in my experience, decongestants are a waste of money. I wrote a small article about flying with children that goes more in-depth, offers tips and tricks for the travel, etc. http://www.angelfire.com/jamiehassen79/flying_children.html If I can be of any more help or assistance, please feel free to contact me.

can anyone tell me if this article about the end of america is true?

can anyone tell me if this article about the end of america is true?
"In the last few days, it’s become more and more obvious that the country is headed straight for a war with North Korea. There really isn’t much we can do to stop it now, aside from nuking the whole place and calling it a day, which we cannot and should not do. When the United States military began conducting joint military operations with South Korea, it stood as a confirmation that should North Korea act against South Korea (which at this point is inevitable), we’re going to back the South Koreans. That’s great and noble and all, but the fact is that we cannot afford it. We already have such a high debt to China that we’ll never be able to pay it off. Even if we try, we cannot possibly grasp how long it will take. With the way our country is headed, spending money like crazy, we will never pay it off, meaning we owe China and we can’t deliver. Just a few weeks ago, the government announced that it had purchased an additional 600 billion dollars worth of bonds from the Chinese government. This alone serves to weaken the value of the dollar 10% over night, and up to 25-30% within months. This means that if you have $100 in the bank, it’ll be worth $70-75 in a matter of months. When China says no the next time we ask for money, we’re pretty much fucked. If our number one loan source refuses to pay for our wars or problems any longer, where will we turn? Other countries will see that China is refusing and they won’t loan money to us either. Our dollar will be useless, meaning you can’t use it to buy food or clothes or pay for the things you take for granted every single day. We’ll be in a worse position than we were in during the Great Depression. And on top of it all, we’ll still have two wars on our plate. So, at this point, our money is worthless and we can’t pay to fight the nuclear and chemical opposition coming from North Korea. It would make sense that we turn to our allies, right? In case you haven’t heard, Wikileaks released an absolutely MASSIVE collection of documents today regarding the relationships that the United States has with its allies. Earlier this week, the government warned Canada that it would damage relationships with our allies and lead to “countless deaths.” (If we need to warn Canada that they’re going to be angry with us, what are other countries going to think?) Basically, we’ll have no one to back us up, no money, and a country with nuclear weapons (I don’t care what the media says, North Korea has nuclear capabilities) fighting against us. So we turn to the UN, right? Wrong. The Wikileaks documents also reveal that Hillary Clinton ordered U.S. diplomats to spy on UN leaders, meaning they’re going to be less than happy about helping us. (Good job, Hillary.) In essence, America is fucked. We’re going to face rougher times in the next few years than any of us could have even imagined. Our safety is at stake. Our lives are at stake. It’s not only possible, but probable that this could be the end of the United States of America as we know it. I don’t think people understand the magnitude of this situation. It means that we might be looking at the end of an empire. We could be a third-world country in a matter of months. So what do we do? Prepare for it. Know how to survive if everything goes wrong. Think about what you’d need to do if an emergency arises. Most of all, ORDER A PASSPORT THIS WEEK IF YOU DON’T ALREADY HAVE ONE. If you need to make a run for it, you’re going to need a passport to get into a different country. I can’t express the amount of urgency of the situation. America is at a time right now that our country could very easily cease to exist. Please try to understand that and act upon it. I care about you all enough to not want to see anything bad happen to you, but at this point, it’s virtually inevitable. Most of all, prepare yourselves. America is in a bad state of affairs right now it’s not going to get any better any time soon." i really don't know what to think, can anyone tell me if it's true or not?

I think you're assessment of the situation is somewhat accurate unfortunately. It might be a little fatalistic to assume that in 2 months these things will come to pass, but unless a there is a significant change the future looks very bleak. I can't help but get the impression that this war scenario has been in the works for awhile though. When the economy is falling it seems to be the typical response that war is inevitable. (ie ww2) I haven't heard about this Wiki Leaks stuff but it definitely isn't going to be doing our nation any favors.

Some information may be right but i'd like to know who the author is. I do not think we will ever be a third world nation because we have too many skills and a local and national infrastructure. We have lots of fertile land that would be better after they quit growing one kind of potato and using such heavy doses of pesticides and herbicides. We have plenty of trees, pure water (except for the greed exploits of industry). If we get into a war with N Korea, it'll probably go nuke and you many as well stay put, because we'll all go up in flames. If we go down, unfortunately there will be a lot who'll go down with us. Sounds like a drama queen to me. I'm not running, so I may be the only left. Wow all that purple majesty would be mine - if its not all burnt up.
